Flexamat: Permanent Erosion Control Matting

Flexamat® is a permanent erosion control matting utilized for stabilizing the following:

  • Slopes

  • Channels

  • Low water crossing

  • Inlet/outlet protection

  • Shorelines

It consists of concrete blocks (6.5” X 6.5” with a 2.25” profile) locked together and embedded into a high-strength geogrid. There are 1.5” spacings between the blocks that give the mat flexibility and allows for optional vegetation growth. The mats are packaged in rolls, making the transport and installation of Flexamat® very efficient.
